Writing
My list of children's books includes award-winning work for under-5s, books with novelty components, highly commended historical, natural history and science non-fiction, internationally-successful fiction, craft books,licensed character text and educational material. My work is listed on a number of independent online reader recommendation websites, and given top ratings by the general public. I have many fans who contact me from around the world, and I am happy to reply.

My credo
I like a new challenge, so I don't specialise in any one age-group or subject. The work I like best gives me the chance to do something original and of-the-moment. I try to bring a fresh eye to whatever subject I write about, using imaginative thinking to create something to suit different age-groups, art styles and markets.

Visualising my work
I am unusual amongst authors in that I am highly-experienced working with visual content, and I am able to produce clear visual ideas to help designers and illustrators working on projects with me. This makes me a particularly suitable author for projects with lively, unusual or particularly demanding layouts.

Format and brand development
Are you a publisher who needs some fresh thinking on how to use a tricky new format, or perhaps you want creative ideas for developing a children's book brand? I work regularly with respected paper engineers to create new formats, and I have developed a number which have been successful internationally. I have also been instrumental in creating successful book ranges for international clients.
